She definitely doesn't love her boss, ex-football star Jack McGarry, no matter what her mother says. Jack doesn't love her, either. They are best friends, depend on each other, and work perfectly together. Love would ruin everything, on that they absolutely agree. Then why are things suddenly different between them? Besides being Jack's scheduler and the company's masseuse, Larissa has also been a mega-do-gooder for the past few months she's lived in Fool's Gold, California. From helping sick children to rescuing animals, Larissa has convinced Jack to fund her projects. When she finds a homeless teen, Percy, she talks Jack into taking the boy into his home, giving him a job at Score, and helping him get his GED. Larissa's family and friends worry that Larissa's love for Jack isn't reciprocated. Having lost his twin brother when they were teens, then having his parents leave him, Jack believes he's incapable of love.
